EECU Student Grant Program
The 2025 EECU Student Grant Program is Now Open
EECU’s Student Grant Programs provide grants to help members pay for school-related expenses. The programs are open to members who are pursuing a post-high school education at a community college, university/college, vocational/technical school, or advanced professional training in the U.S.
Member Grant Program Information and Requirements
Up to fifty $2,000 grants will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to apply for a grant is Friday, December 6, 2024. To be eligible to apply for the 2025 grant program, applicants need to be:
- An EECU member, joint member or joint owner as of June 6, 2024; account must be in good standing. If you are a joint owner on an account and you are selected to receive a grant, you will be required to open an account as a primary member before the grant funds may be awarded.
- Planning to attend a community college, university/college, vocational/technical school, or advanced professional training in the U.S. in the 2025-2026 academic year (summer courses are ineligible); grant recipients will be required to provide verification of enrollment for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Note: EECU employees, officials, and their spouses and dependents are ineligible to apply for the Member Grant Program. Grant Reading Committee members and their immediate family members are ineligible to apply.
EECU Employee Spouse & Dependent Grant Program Information and Requirements
(for the spouses and dependents of EECU employees)
Up to ten $2,000 grants will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year. The deadline to apply for a grant is Friday, December 6, 2024. To be eligible to apply for the 2025 grant program, applicants need to be:
- The spouse or dependent of a current EECU employee; specific requirements are listed in the grant application. Applicants must select that they are applying as the spouse or dependent of an EECU employee when completing the application.
- An EECU member, joint member or joint owner as of June 6, 2024; account must be in good standing. If you are a joint owner on an account and you are selected to receive a grant, you will be required to open an account as a primary member before the grant funds may be awarded.
- Planning to attend a community college, university/college, vocational/technical school, or advanced professional training in the U.S. in the 2025-2026 academic year (summer courses are ineligible); grant recipients will be required to provide verification of enrollment for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Note: EECU employees are ineligible to apply for the Employee Spouse & Dependent Grant Program. Grant Reading Committee members and their immediate family members are ineligible to apply.

Apply for a Student Grant
Applicants will complete and submit the grant application online. The following documents must be uploaded to the online application prior to submission:
- Two letters of recommendation in PDF format. Please review the Letter of Recommendation Requirements for an overview of information the letter should include.
- Electronic transcript(s) in PDF format from the educational institution(s) you have attended. See Frequently Asked Questions below for important information about transcripts.
- If currently enrolled, a list of courses you are currently taking/work in progress (if not listed on transcript) in PDF format.
